Cuthbert Goeb war der Sohn eines deutschen Einwanderers (Johann Goeb, * 1862 in Altmannsdorf, Bayern.)
Profess: 2. Sept. 1914; Priesterweihe: 3. Juni 1920, 1928–1931 Prior, Ernennung zum Abt: 15. Dez. 1931, Benediktion: 13. April 1932, Resignation: 25. Mai 1954.
Während Goebs Amtszeit erhielt das Kloster 1931 seinen Status als unabhängige Abtei zurück und der Name wurde von St. Mary zu Assumption geändert.
